Portland, Jamaica Travel Guide: Port Antonio, Rafting, Beaches & Boston Jerk

Portland is Jamaica's lush northeast — rainforest mountains, rivers, blue lagoons and the island's most relaxed town, Port Antonio. It's far from the big resorts, which is exactly the point.

Getting there

From Kingston it's about 2 hours over the mountains or along the coast; from Ocho Rios around 2.5 hours; from Montego Bay plan a long day. Pre-book a transfer — Portland is not a place to arrive late and lost.
