The Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association describes the winter tourist season as running from 15 December to 15 April. Official Atlantic hurricane season dates (1 June–30 November) are set by NOAA’s National Hurricane Center each year.
The winter high season traditionally runs from about mid-December through mid-April. For 2027 that means roughly 15 December 2026 through 15 April 2027, when demand and room rates are highest.
January (after New Year) through March usually offers the driest, most reliable weather. Easter Sunday in 2027 falls on 28 March, so book early around that holiday.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from 1 June to 30 November each year, with historically higher activity from about August through October.
Late November is often a shoulder period: quieter and usually cheaper than winter peak, but still inside hurricane season — buy flexible bookings and travel insurance.
